Cooking Philosophy

As a wife and mother of two, I love providing healthy, cost effective, quick and easy meals for my family and friends, as well as the odd treat here and there.

One of my pet hates is finding a new recipe, spending money to buy the ingredients, taking the time to make it, only to find out that it was a waste. Either it doesn’t work or it tastes terrible- why bother!

After cooking for over 20 years I have built up a collection of go-to recipes that I consider the ‘best’.

My definition of ‘best’ takes into consideration the taste, cost, time, presentation, nutrition, ease and wow factor.

Every recipe can’t tick all the boxes but what I have tried to do is to choose what is most important for each recipe and go with that.

Most of the recipes are designed to be placed in the middle of the table and shared over great conversation.

The recipes are mostly my own; adapted from a variety of sources and evolved over many years of trial and error. These are our family favourites.

Happy Cooking!
