This dressing is a Summer favourite in our home. Quick and easy to make, it brings salads or crunchy veggies to life. Goes well with chicken, steak, prawns fish or tofu.
Thai Dressing two ways
The first recipe uses sweet chilli sauce for the sweet and chilli factor while the second version is a more traditional take on a Thai dressing. Both work well and can be kept in the fridge for a week or so.
Ingredients Traditional version
- 40ml (2 Tb) lime or lemon juice
- 40ml (2Tb) fish sauce
- 4 Tb brown sugar or rice malt syrup
- 1 birds eye chilli finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic crushed (optional)
Ingredients Quick Cheats Version
- 1/2 cup sweet chilli sauce
- 1/4 cup lime juice (1-2 limes)
- 1/4 cup sesame oil
- 1 Tb fish sauce (can use salt to taste if preferred)
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
Method for both versions
- Place all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together until they come together
